Because there are so many roadblocks to success, achieving it can be challenging. These roadblocks aren’t fatal, but they do slow development. If they aren’t avoided, the subsequent irritation can make the typical person give up and quit.
I’m referring to obstacles or barriers. They can trip us up and impede us from realizing our full potential. These barriers abound in life, and along with awareness, being freed from them will help you succeed.
Here are the top stumbling blocks
- Grief and fear. They can prevent us from acting, making decisions, and living our lives.
- Thoughts. Thinking things like “I don’t fit in,” “I’m different,” or “I’m not good enough” can trip us up and hold us back.
- Feelings of entitlement. Can divert and redirect our wants.
- Negative emotions. Always produce discouragement.
- Comparisons. Do not compare your abilities, relationships, life, or imperfections with anyone else. Don’t try to hold yourself up to someone else’s standards.
- Be honest with yourself. Justification, rationalizing, lying, blaming others, and neglecting to accept responsibility for our actions are all signs of self-deception. In the end, this form of deception will always result in failure.
